Amnon Aliphas Ph.D.|
CEO

VentureOnLine was founded by Dr. Amnon Aliphas in January of 2008 as a funding facilitator for new companies in the high-tech industry. As an entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the industry, Dr. Aliphas realized that entrepreneurs were often at a loss on how to proceed from an idea or a prototype to funding and growing a company.

Dr. Amnon Aliphas is a visionary in the electronics industry. He saw that the Signal Processing Industry needed an event exclusive to the signal processing community. Answering that need, Dr. Aliphas founded the International Conference on Signal Processing Applications and Technology (ICSPAT) and DSP World Expo. In 1996, Miller-Freeman (United Business Media) acquired DSP World.

It was while organizing DSP World that Dr. Aliphas recognized the Internet as the ideal medium to help the electronics engineering community keep pace with their rapidly changing industry through on-line education and information. Dr. Aliphas founded TechOnLine in 1994 as an on-line information and educational resource and developed the "Virtual Lab" for which he holds a US Patent. The Virtual Lab is widely used by the industry. CMP (United Business Media) acquired TechOnLine in 2005. In 2003, he launched GSPx, a signal processing conference and trade show. He launched TV2Mobile an event dedicated to the mobile TV industry in 2005.

Having founded the leading online-resource for the electronics community, namely TechOnLine, Dr. Aliphas decided to facilitate the growth opportunities for new ventures by bridging the chasm between inventors and investors, thus launching VentureOnLine.

Using his extensive background and expertise in electronics engineering and his leadership ability, Dr. Aliphas builds strong, credible organizations that serve the needs of the electronics community. He has authored numerous papers on digital signal processing and related topics.

Dr. Aliphas taught at Boston University. While working at Draper Laboratory, he developed fault tolerant systems. He was Principal Signal Processing Scientist for Kurzweil Applied Intelligence and Wang Laboratories (1982-1986).

Aliphas received a Ph.D. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He earned a B.S. degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
